Vintage Rhinestones

I LOVE vintage rhinestones and enjoy making jewelry with them. The colors are so different and pretty. Part of the fun is looking for the stones on the internet. Then when I find and receive them, trying to match them up with either other vintage pieces or new contempory findings is enjoyable for me. This items listed here are now in my Etsy shop and I am happy with how the pictures turned out.

We had a very bad storm here over the weekend and we lost power for a couple of days. I could hardly wait for the power and heat to come back on to get into my studio and start creating again!

Yummy Ice Cream Cone Earrings!

I had to make these! I have had all the parts for sometime but had not taken the time to make them. They turned out really cute and remind of the Summer season! They can be found in my Etsy Shop!

Destashing Supplies on Artfire

I have decided to downsize my stash of jewelry making supplies. It will be a big undertaking to get things posted to Artfire but it is something that needs to be done. I started today and hope to continue for the next the several weeks. So if you need or like jewlery supplies take a peek and you might see something you like or need.

Vintage Rhinestones

I am soooo addicted to vintage rhinestones! The colors and shapes are endless. Besides creating pretty earrings, part of the fun is looking for the stones. The pair pictured here are so happy and fun in pink, blue and green. The flowers on the post just add to the femininity and flirtiness of these dangles.

Stunning BEADS!

I found these beads and have used them all to make a bracelet, a pair of earrings and a pendant necklace. The finish on the beads is metallic and depending on how the light them the beads appear different colors, silver, gold, purple, yellow and more. I mixed antique silver metal on all the pieces plus some Swarovski crystals. The only word that comes to mind is STUNNING!

Rain has finally Stopped!

The sun is out! After all the rain we had it is a pleasant site to see, bright sunshine. I like working with natural light because colors look better and and true. I have been busy getting ready to send out my first e-mail to past customer's. I hope to do this monthly and offer free shipping, promotions and give-aways. It's always interesting to try something new. Plus I have been busy making new things for Spring and Summer. So stay tuned!

Will I EVER be Happy with my Photos!

I went for my photography lesson and the instructor said my pictures were really good! This is not what I expected but he did make me feel good. After reviewing my camera settings and experimenting with some light sources I ended up purchasing some lights and a board that the light clamp onto. I guess I just want that 'instant gratification' and have ALL mt pictures be perfect. Not so. Now I need to play and experiment with the light sources and my props. I took lots of pictures today and am only happy with one! No easy solutions here. I am not going to give up and I hope to challenge myself each day using my new toy. Wish me luck!

Angel Wing Necklace

I am in love with mother of pearl. I found these great wings made of carved mop. The wings have a lovely glow and were so fun creating this necklace. The chain is vintage brass with pink glass cats eye beads. I finished off the piece with a few dangles, a flower, leaf and a brass bird. I think it looks romantic and pretty.
